Growing Up In God: Spiritual Maturity

Growing Up in God: Spiritual Maturity is a six-week online discipleship course designed to challenge believers to move beyond spiritual activity into genuine spiritual growth. Spiritual maturity is not measured simply by how long we have been saved, how much Scripture we know, the position we hold, or how spiritually gifted we are.

Throughout this course, we will examine the biblical evidence of maturity in our character, choices, relationships, responses, obedience, consistency, and everyday lives. The question at the heart of this course is simple: You've been saved for a while, but have you grown?

Each week, we will address a different area of spiritual development through Scripture and practical application. We will explore the difference between gifts and fruit, emotional and relational maturity, offense and forgiveness, accountability, humility, teachability, and the ability to receive correction.

We will also tackle “Everything Is Not Warfare,” learning to distinguish spiritual opposition from consequences, correction, pruning, testing, discipline, and areas where we simply need to take personal responsibility and grow.

Finally, we will examine whether our character has developed the capacity to sustain the more we are asking God to entrust to us. Through lessons on stewardship, consistency, suffering, responsibility, and Christlike character, you will be challenged to identify areas where growth is still needed and intentionally pursue maturity.

This course is about moving from gifted to grounded, from spiritual infancy to maturity, and ultimately becoming more like Christ. It's time to GROW UP IN GOD.
